Snow and ice are melting, and what I thought was going to turn into a glacier before my very eyes has now turned into muddy puddles.
My hip is starting to do that thing where it gets angry from me walking too much, but it's been too nice out to stay inside. Today our wonderful dorm cook made iced tea because it was hot. It is really warm out, t shirt weather! (It's 35 degrees).
Work wise I've been planning workshops for the fall, trying to connect dots, and make plans for next year (both for my replacement and for myself).
I'm going into Town this weekend to see some friends. Should be nice!

Bethel Car
Saw this on the "Bethel Bargains" Facebook page. A good example of what a Bethel Car is:
90 Toyota 4runner - starts in the winter, just needs to be plugged in. Has an oil leak, horn doesn't work (frustrating when in AC parking lot) speedometer doesn't work & back end doesn't open. Has studded tires on & an extra set $2,000 obo.

Update
Well, I went to Hawaii for a little bit and for the past couple of weeks have been trying to get back into the swing of things. Seems like all I have been blogging about lately is dogs and dog teams and dog races, so why stop now? Here's me with some super cute Alaskan Husky pups:
I've been catching up with some webinars and doing quarter-end paperwork stuff. Hoping to get my Quarterly Report out tomorrow, as I will be very busy on Friday and there is a Saturday Market this weekend! We are having a workshop on how to start a business cooperative and have invited several people from the villages I've been traveling to to come.
It looks like I might be going to Aniak at the end of the month for a workshop that the Cultural Center and our contacts there have been helping to set up. Still talking to my AmeriCorps friend in Kasigluk about maybe setting up a craft fair there at the end of the month, and possibly going up to Nome and Kotzebue in June to do some presentations! I'm also trying to see if we have the money and the interest to bring someone out from the Mat-Su valley to do a workshop on how to build Wordpress websites and doing your own web design.
The sun stays out late and it doesn't get dark until after 10:30 pm now.
