Navy Pier was amazing. There was so much to look at, from the skyline to all the people walking around. We walked around and then found someplace to sit to watch the fireworks. We had heard that there were thunderstorms coming our way and could see lightening off in the distance, and once the fireworks had ended it started to
Luckily we made it back to the subway (after walking 8 blocks in the rain) without getting struck by lightening or by being blown away by Chicago's famous winds! On the train we met up with someone else from orientation who told us an incredible story about how he met this guy and they had a huge discussion about poverty.
