Alaska Vocab Lesson: the morning/afternoon/evening Jet

This one is more specific to Bethel.  There are smaller prop or float planes that fly up and down the river and to villages in the area, but the major flights (by Alaskan Airlines) are 3 flights that go between Bethel and Anchorage.  They are supposed to fly at the same time every day, and are referred to as the morning jet, the afternoon or midday jet, and the evening jet.

There's been a lot of jet drama lately because of a combination of weather and the airport re-doing the runway.  The runway that they are using now is much smaller and narrower, so there can't be any crosswinds or fog or a lot of cloud cover because the plane could miss the runway (as was part of my flying experience).  They have been canceling some of the flights, usually the morning jet.
